Anti-doping education for schoolchildren

The use of doping agents and steroids, specifically Androgenic Anabolic Steroids, is considered a growing public health problem for today’s young people. Doping agents are easy to obtain as pure steroids, but can also be found in poorly controlled dietary supplements. Several of these products have been found to contain harmful and unauthorized chemical preparations. In this project, Professor Arne Ljungqvist’s Anti-Doping Foundation will gather facts on doping based on their previous experiences and studies. An education program for young people aged 13-20 will be developed, which can be used in schools, gyms, and sports associations. In addition a program for teachers, leaders, and parents will also be developed.

What the project delivers

Education programs that educate about doping and steroid use and its negative health effects.

Why we support this project

By accessing well-documented information about the negative effects of doping agents and steroid use, young people can make informed choices to strengthen their physical and mental health.
