How to apply for support
The application process begins with the applicant organization submitting a brief description of its project idea. We receive and assess project ideas continuously throughout the year.
1: Application
We continuously accept project ideas as well as reach out to organizations of interest internally. Start by submitting a short description of the project using our application form. Please be as clear and concise as possible, in order to allow for a quick response from us.
2: First Evaluation
All project ideas are assessed within a group to ensure for a fair evaluation. We process all applications on a continual basis and review them based on our established criteria and assessment guidelines. Organizations may be contacted to clarify and/or provide additional information.
3: Pending Decision
We generally respond within 4-6 weeks with an initial decision of whether or not we would like to take your project to the next stage of the application process.
4: Organization Analysis
If we choose to proceed with your idea, the next step is to get more information about your organization. At this stage, we request references and documents such as annual reports, registration certificates, and statutes.
5: Complete Application
In this stage of the process, our project manager works closely with you to assist in formulating a formal application, consisting of a project plan, schedule, and budget. This step in the process may take a long time depending on how well-crafted your idea is when it comes to us.
6: Final Decision
We assess projects continuously.
7: Agreement
Once a formal decision is reached, we write an agreement that governs our commitment to support the project and your commitment to implement it. At this point, the project can begin!
