Strengthing the healthcare system in Ethiopia

In Ethiopia, the Covid-19 pandemic contributes to overwhelmed health systems and reduced access to other essential health services, such as child and maternal care. Furthermore, access to radio, TV and internet is limited, which poses challenges in reaching out with accurate information about Covid-19.

In this project, Amref Nordic/Amref Flying Doctors Foundation aims to help reduce the spread of Covid-19 and strengthen access to essential health services, such as child and maternal care, by educating local health workers in using mobile platforms.

The project is supported with 1 000 000 SEK

What the project delivers

Production of relevant material to incorporate in the digital platform. By using the “Training of the trainers (ToT)” method reach out and educate essential health workers. Lastly, opening a call center for health workers to turn to when they need support with the digital platform.
