Science-based targets for sustainable food systems

Many of today’s most urgent health and environment challenges are linked to food and food production. Global food production and consumption account for as much as 30% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions, while undernourishment, obesity and chronic lifestyle diseases in many places are growing health problems. Finding common solutions to food, health and environmental problems requires a holistic approach and efforts across sectors and countries.

In this project, EAT Foundation will work with a network of cities from all over the world to create food systems that can keep citizens healthy while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.



What the project delivers

Workshops and information exchange where participating cities can receive support to set science based targets for a sustainable food system, and work to expand the number of cities in the network, with focus on cities in Asia and the Pacific region.
